Interesting segment about libraries on a recent NewsHour program
One of our patrons came in the other day and told me I had to check out a recent segment about libraries on the NewsHour (on PBS). http://www.pbs.org/newshour/bb/social_issues/jan-june08/libraries_03-13.html

The segment was very positive about libraries. It reports on recent findings from the Pew Internet and American Life Project which indicate that contrary to popular belief, people STILL use libraries quite a lot.

This reminds me a little bit of that scene in Monty Python's The Holy Grail. "We're not dead yet! We don't want to go on the cart!"

I feel happy!
